BK Dental welcomes all new patients. Make us your family’s dental home!
Our goal at BK Dental is to create a welcoming place for all members of your family to receive compassionate, complete dental care. Before your first visit, you can download and fill out the following forms to speed your check-in when you arrive for your appointment.

What to expect at your first appointment:
Your first visit to our practice will last approximately one hour. During that appointment, we will give you a tour of our Wood Dale dental office and introduce you to our team. Next, a quick review of your dental and medical history will be completed before you are seated for your exam.
Dr. Kaltchev and our team will perform a comprehensive dental exam, including, a head and neck cancer screening, a periodontal evaluation and a baseline dental charting. We will also prescribe and take any necessary diagnostic x-rays. You may receive a routine cleaning on your first appointment depending on your overall periodontal condition.
Dr. Kaltchev will discuss the current state of your dental health with you, and outline your treatment planning options including any restorative dental work you may need or cosmetic dentistry you may wish for.
For our younger patients:
All children as young as 6 months are welcome at BK Dental! New pediatric patients will receive a full examination, have any necessary x-rays taken, receive a thorough teeth cleaning, and be given a fluoride treatment.
A major emphasis will be placed on teaching them tooth decay prevention, including proper oral at-home care and a healthy diet.
BK Dental welcomes patients with and without insurance. Our team will work with you to develop a treatment plan that will both meet your needs and fit into your budget.
Payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. BK Dental offers a variety of payment options to ensure that your dental treatment and cosmetic procedures are affordable.
We accept most insurance plans. Please call us to find out if we are a participating provider on your insurance plan. Even if we are not a participating provider on your plan, most PPO Plans offer out-of-network benefits.
We will work with you and your insurance company to process your claims and help you get the maximum insurance benefit allowable. Unfortunately, your dental insurance company will likely only pay for a portion of your dental treatment. We will estimate your portion, and ask you to pay that amount at the time of service.
You don’t need dental insurance to be seen at our office.
BK Dental Member Savings Plan
We recognize that more and more employers do not offer dental insurance coverage. Many of our patients do not carry supplemental dental coverage. Quite frankly, dental insurance is more of a “discount” than comprehensive coverage. Most dental insurance plans have not increased their maximum allowable coverage since the late 1970’s.
BK Dental is proud to offer our Member Savings Plan. Click here for more information!
For your convenience, we accept cash, personal check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Our office also offers assisted financial plans through Care Credit (this should link to the Care Credit website), which is a well known, well reputed, and affordable option used by many of our patients to pay for comprehensive treatment. Care Credit has 0% financing with monthly payment options available.
Everyone should be able to have a bright and healthy smile. BK Dental will find an affordable payment option that works for you!

Do you take Illinois All Kids Program?
Yes! Through the Illinois All Kids Program, eligible families accepted into the state program can receive dentistry at rates their parents can afford.
I have a severe toothache. What should I do?
Call our office to request an immediate appointment. We do our best to see patients with emergencies the same day if possible.
My or my child’s tooth was knocked out. What should I do?
Use a cold, wet, clean cloth with gentle pressure to stop bleeding. If the tooth is a baby tooth, there is not much reason to worry – the adult tooth will eventually grow. If it is a mature tooth, place it in a cup of milk, saline, or cold water and bring it with you to our office – call ahead to let us know you are coming.
What cosmetic services do you offer?
We offer a variety of cosmetic dental services including: veneers, composite bonding, at-home whitening, ceramic crowns and bridges for optimal esthetics, full and partial dentures, and implant restorations.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal disease is an ongoing infection of the gums, which causes them to pull away from the teeth and recede. Eventually teeth become loose and fall out, as the bone below the gums begins to dissolve. Gum disease is responsible for the loss of more teeth than decay and accidental injury combined. Periodontal treatment can slow down or stop gum disease and save your teeth.
I am / my child is nervous about the dentist. Can you help?
BK Dental is committed to making every dental appointment a positive one. If you or your child experiences dental anxiety, let us know when you book the appointment. We have a variety of solutions to help our patients feel relaxed during treatment.
